Strut Assisted Ramp
The strut-assisted Roll-A-Ramp is a lightweight, bi-fold ramp made from 6061 aerospace-grade aluminum, designed for wheelchair and scooter access to vans or minivans. It mounts to the floor of a side or rear door and folds vertically for storage inside the vehicle.
The ramp is equipped with gas struts that reduce the physical effort required to fold and unfold it by approximately 40%. Available in widths of 26", 30", or 36" and lengths of 6–9 feet, it supports up to 1,000 lbs (850 lbs for 9' x 30" or 9' x 36" models).
It features a slotted, non-slip surface for traction and ergonomic handles for safe handling. Installation is simple, requiring a 4-6-bolt setup with no major vehicle modifications
Manual Folding Ramp
The manual folding Roll-A-Ramp is a lightweight, foldable ramp that mounts to the floor of a minivan sliding side door or the side/rear door of a full size van providing wheelchair or scooter access.
Unlike the strut-assisted version, it relies entirely on manual effort to fold and unfold, with no gas struts. This version is our most popular ramp as it is one of the most economical wheelchair accessibility options for a van.
It features a slotted, non-slip aluminum surface with raised ridges for traction and side rails for safety. Available in widths of 26", 30", or 36" and lengths of 6–9 feet, it supports up to 850 lbs.. The ramp folds vertically for compact storage inside the vehicle, occupying 10–12" of depth. Installation requires a simple 4-6 bolt setup without any major vehicle modifications.
Powered Ramp with Remote
The MF1-R Powered Remote Roll-A-Ramp Van Ramp is a powered, folding wheelchair ramp designed for minivans, offering effortless access for wheelchair or scooter users without requiring costly vehicle conversions.
This ramp mounts to the floor of a minivan’s side door and deploys or folds at the touch of a button via a wireless remote (includes two fobs). The ramp features a slotted, non-slip surface with raised ridges for traction. It measures 26 inches wide (25 inches usable width) and 6 feet long, with a minimum door clearance requirement of 29 inches. The MF1-R supports up to 1,000 pounds, making it suitable for heavy wheelchairs or scooters. It installs in 2–4 hours. It includes a manual override for operation during power loss. 5 steps to Measure Van Door Opening
- Measure Door Width
Open the van’s side door (usually sliding). Use a tape measure to find the horizontal width between the door frame sides (e.g., 33"). Ensure it’s at least 2 inches wider than the ramp e.g. 28 inch clearance for 26 inch ramp - Measure Door Height
Measure vertically from the van’s interior floor at the door to the top of the door frame (e.g., 50"). Confirm the required ramp height will fit, and the wheelchair rider can clear the door height when using the ramp. - Measure Ground-to-Floor Height
Measure from the ground outside the door to the van’s interior floor (e.g., 20"). This determines the ramp length needed for a safe slope. - Check for Doorway Obstructions
Inspect the door for obstacles (e.g., tracks, handles). Measure usable width if narrowed to ensure the ramp fits. - Verify Floor Transition
Check the floor at the door for slopes or lips. Measure any height difference (e.g., 2" lip) to ensure the ramp can mount cleanly, as shown in the video.

To ensure a proper fit, measure your van’s door opening and floor height using the steps provided above. Then, choose the appropriate ramp type based on your measurements. Note that ramps will not install correctly if the selected model does not meet these space requirements.

Situations our minivan ramps are incompatible with:
- Honda Odyssey: The Odyssey has an unevenly graded floor, and doorway obstructions, making this vehicle incompatible for use with the roll a ramp van ramps.
- Chysler Pacifica: The Pacifica model does not allow even our smallest van ramps to move freely out of the sliding side door and is incompatible for use with our van ramps.
- Rear door of minivan: In nearly every situation, placing a ramp on the rear door of a minivan will not work as the minivan bumper pushes out the angle of the ramp and prevents the ramp from touching the ground properly.
- Sport Utility Vehicles SUVs: Van ramps are incompatible with SUVs as the doors are typically not big enough to support ramp installation. Also the vehicle floor height of these vehicles is much higher than a van which makes the slop of the ramp too steep for wheelchairs, scooter, or power chairs to access.
