PROP 65

PROP 65

Attention California Residents:
WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.”

What types of chemicals are on the proposition 65 list?

The list contains a wide range of naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals that include additives or ingredients in pesticides, common household products, food, drugs, dyes, or solvents. Listed chemicals may also be used in manufacturing and construction, or they may be byproducts of chemical processes, such as motor vehicle exhaust.

What is California Proposition 65?
Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.  Exposure to these chemicals may take place when products are acquired or used.

Why does my product have a Proposition 65 Warning Label?
The Prop 65 warning label is simply meant to inform the consumer that the product may contain chemicals on the State of California’s Prop 65 list, as required by law for all products sold in the state of California. The label does not mean that use of the product will cause cancer, birth defects, reproductive harm or is unsafe.
