The Vulkem 171 Primer is used with the Tremgrip adhesive for use on Evolve Stone mortarless veneer siding. The primer is applied to both the back of the Evolve Stone panels and to the exterior wall being installed.
Primer is not required for interior Evolve Stone wall projects where adhesive is needed. Typical exterior surfaces that Primer and Adhesive are required on are gluing FRP to stone, brick, concrete, or other hard surfaces that a nail gun cannot penetrate.
Usage:
Typical advice is to use a single quart of Vulkem 171 Primer with up to 3 boxes of Evolve Stone (~43 SF), or 9-12 10oz tubes of TremGrip.
Also, Vulkem primer is advised when used on exterior application installations. Primer is not required for interior projects.
Vulkem and other Evolve Stone Accessories are not sold separately and must accompany a complete Evolve Stone order.
