INSTALLATION FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can Rubber Siding Panels be Installed on Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF)?
Eco-Flex Rubber Side panels can be installed on ICF, however, ICF (Insulating Concrete Forms) can potentially break down over time if another product is installed on top of it without proper protection, such as Tyvek. If you're installing over ICF its best to place a barrier like Tyvek on before installation to help prolong the life of your project. The following video explains how ICF should be protected with Tyvek before installing exterior cladding, siding, or in this case, Rubber-Side. This is to ensure the longevity and integrity of the ICF.

Does Eco-Flex Rubber Side for Mobile Home Skirting Require a Backing Board?
When installing Rubber Side as a mobile home skirt you will need to purchase either the eco-flex metal frame system, or construct your own backing board with something like pressure treated plywood along with a moisture barrier like Tyvek or house wrap.
We offer an option a metal frame option as well. Find that product here >
See pictures below for an demonstration example of the metal framing attached to 2x4 wood.
What's the Best Way to Attach Rubber Side to a Surface?
It is recommended to use both glue and screws when installing Eco-flex Rubber-Side panels to ensure a secure and watertight installation. Start by gluing and screwing the top panels to prevent water seepage from the top. Then, use screws to attach the remaining panels to the backing, and consider using adhesive for added adhesion.
The tongue and groove design of the panels helps to prevent water from seeping between the stacked panels. For a visually appealing finish, consider using screws that match the color of the Rubber-Side panels: brown screws for brown panels, black screws for black panels, silver screws for grey panels, and redwood screws for redwood panels.
What Glue is Best for Attaching Eco-Flex Rubber Side Panels to Concrete?
The best adhesives for attaching Eco-Flex Rubber Siding to concrete or a foundation wall are Loctite Premium 3x, Chem X Pro and E6100. Each of these have proven to adhere well to concrete surfaces.
Is it necessary to clean Rubber-Side before applying adhesive when attaching it to a backing?
It is recommended to wash the flat or attaching side of the Rubber-Side panels to remove any particles or releasing agents that may be present from the manufacturing process. This will help to ensure a stronger bond when the adhesive is applied.
